Our treatment plan consists of application of non-neutralized high concentration of glycol acid every week or every two weeks depends on the type of skin. This high concentration is NOT available to cosmetics that may also be performing this procedure. The glycol acid is left in place for two to four minutes before it is washed off. The patient may experience tingling or mild stinging, but discomfort is notably minimal. Because the peel is administered gradually over six to twelve weeks, soreness or tenderness is essentially non-existent. As mentioned above, there is no “down-time” necessary as you may apply cosmetics soon after and continue with your regular activities.
